KaN helps organise learning evidence, generate activity ideas and resources, draft plans and summaries, and identify possible patterns or learning connections. Using the platform does not, by itself, create a counselling, therapeutic or clinical relationship with its operator.

No diagnosis or clinical assessment

KaN does not diagnose medical, psychological, developmental or learning conditions, including ADHD, autism or dyslexia. It is not a substitute for an assessment or advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

If you have concerns about a learner’s health or development, seek appropriate professional advice. Do not use an AI output as the sole basis for decisions about diagnosis, treatment or support.

AI outputs need checking

AI-generated worksheets, activities, observations, suggestions, plans and reports may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular learner. An authorised adult should check accuracy, suitability and safety before use or sharing.

Consider other evidence and your knowledge of the learner. Provide suitable supervision for practical activities and adapt materials to the learner’s needs.

Curriculum connections and learning levels

Where available, curriculum connections and indicative working ranges describe possible links to the evidence recorded. They are not an official school assessment, certification or determination of a learner’s overall curriculum level or potential.

A single work sample may not support a broad conclusion. AI can still make mistakes even where a result is expressed confidently. Check the evidence and relevant official sources.

Australian Curriculum mode provides general learning support and does not offer AI-generated Australian Curriculum mappings, codes or working ranges. The AI & Automated Analysis and Curriculum sources pages explain framework-specific limits.

Home education and official decisions

KaN may help organise evidence and prepare reports, but does not approve home education registration, enrol a learner in a school or guarantee an authority will accept a report. The relevant authority makes those decisions.

Outcomes and professional responsibility

KaN does not promise a particular learning improvement, grade or outcome within a specified timeframe. Professional users remain responsible for decisions made in their professional roles and for their own consent, recordkeeping and professional obligations.

Independent service

KaN is an independent educational platform and is not an official assessment authority. Curriculum references do not imply endorsement by the Australian Government, Victorian Government, ACARA, VCAA or another education authority.
